The management of nutrition and fluids is an essential component in caring for patients. It is an important aspect of healthcare that aids patients' recovery from illness and maintaining optimal health. This course provides leaners an overview on the types of normal and therapeutic diets. It equips learners with the knowledge and skills on the choice and preparation of diet and assisting patients in oral feeding. Learners will also learn how to identify and manage choking and swallowing difficulties, and to report and record observations and abnormalities.
