Targeted Sector(s) Background for the Training
Cyber security has been an ongoing concern with increased consumption of digital services on cloud. Concerns are security on platform such as cloud, IoT, containerization, virtualization, etc as cyber-crimes are on the rise. We are positioning this training for all industries that are adopting digital transformation. The target sectors are banking and finance, oil and gas, manufacturing, supply chain, public sector and many more. The target audience are Information Technology (IT) professionals holding any IT job function not just on IT security job roles.
We will be marketing the courses to more IT dependant industries that is growing because of IT reach (e.g. FinTech, Financial Institutes, Medical & Healthcare, Public Sector and etc.) but as long as the attendee is interested in an IT career, security will still be relevant to them. Currently as a training organization, we have a good pool of customers in the industries that is growing and has the need for Cyber Security professionals.
Targeted Sector(s) Needs for the Training
As the consumption of IT increase in different forms and factors, need for cyber security personnel who are trained in cloud consumption are growing in importance within the market. IT exists in almost all industries and sectors; and cyber security provides assurance to enable IT consumption on the cloud. Based on hiring needs via the research done, we can see that there are still a lot of positions to be filled that requires cyber security knowledge on the cloud. A search in monster (https://www.monster.com.sg/srp/results?query=CCSP) brought up more than 70 open good paying positions while a LinkedIn search (https://www.linkedin.com/jobs/search?keywords=ccsp&location=Singapore) brought up more than 100 good paying positions on 3rd Oct 2022. Minimum Entry Requirement
Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years cumulative paid work experience in information technology, of which 3 years must be in information security and 1 year in 1 or more of the 6 domains of the CCSP CBK. Earning CSA's CCSK certificate can be substituted for 1 year of experience in 1 or more of the 6 domains of the CCSP CBK. Earning ISC2's CISSP credential can be substituted for the entire CCSP experience requirement.
A candidate that doesn't have the required experience to become a CCSP may become an Associate of ISC2 by successfully passing the CCSP examination. The Associate of ISC2 will then have 6 years to earn the 5 years required experience.
