The course provides participants with the necessary skillsets and competency to (1) understand earthworks requirements required by Telecommunication Licensees; (2) allow the participant to be a licensed Telecommunication Cable Detection Worker (TCDW) (subject to fulfilling all IMDA requirements)
It can allow the participants to fulfil the gap needed to carry out telecommunication cable detection and allows them to be employed as a licensed TCDW.
This course is relevant to the industry as it is a mandatory requirements by IMDA to have licensed TCDW carried out earthworks scanning before any earthworks can commence.

Minimum Entry Requirement
ITE's Industrial Technical Certificate, ITE's National Technical Certificate Grade 2, at least 3 "O" Level passes, Certificate in Pavement COnstruction Course, National Certificate in COnstruction Supervision Course, or such other educational qualifications as may be accepted by IMDA.
At least 1 year practical experience in Building Construction, Building Services, Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering Construction.
