This course focuses on linking of various forms of multi-modal operations to support sea transport. Learners will also be exposed to the challenges, and possible solutions to recent disruptions to global trade. They will become familiar with the air cargo markets, players in the industry, models of operation, opportunities and challenges, and processes of handling regular and specialized cargo. This course will also apprise learners of emerging concepts of multi-modal transportation, including ocean freight. Learners will examine the enhanced role of inter-modal transportation systems, carrier characteristics, carrier pricing, carrier selection and transportation cost. After attending this course, learners will have the skills to better design the multi-modal transport networks of their organisations.
