The Specialist Diploma in Solar Photovoltaic Engineering & Monitoring (SDSEM) is a part-time CET course, consist of the following modules:
- PV Cell and Module
- Power System Technology
- PV System Design & Integration
- Distribution Power System Operation, Protection and Maintenance
- PV System Monitoring and Analysis
What You'll Learn
- To provide systematic and in-depth training for local solar and power engineers in PV technology, electrical power engineering, PV system monitoring and analysis.
- To prepare graduates to work as technical officers/engineers in solar PV industry. For learners who are already in the solar or power industry, the course aims to deepen their technical knowledge and skills in PV engineering & monitoring. This course is also aligned to the Skills Framework for Energy & Power.
Minimum Entry Requirement
- At least a recognised local Polytechnic diploma in engineering or a degree in relevant areas.
- Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
Applicants who do not meet the entry requirements may be considered for admission to the course based on evidence of at least 3 years of relevant working experience or supporting evidence of competency readiness.
