(SCTP Module) Immersive Narrative Design (synchronous and Asynchronous)

This module introduces students to the basic principles of traditional storytelling and advances them onwards to create complete, compelling immersive story experiences through the use of 360° media and Augmented, Virtual and Mixed Reality technologies (360/AR/VR/MR). Using various exercises, writing practicum, peer review and critique, students are guided to write their own immersive screenplays (immersiveplay) from conceptualisation to the final draft.

• Explain the screenwriting process and how it applies to creating immersive narrative screenplays
• Apply the elements of an immersive screenplay to create interactive experiences for virtual, augmented and mixed reality worlds
• Produce and evaluate a narrative screenplay for a story self-contained within a 360 set
