This course outline provides an overview of the learning units and topics that will be covered in the two-day SAFe POPM course. It covers the key concepts, tools, and practices of SAFe and how to apply them to effectively manage and deliver products and solutions. The course will introduce attendees to the role of a Product Owner in SAFe, the Lean-Agile mindset, how to prioritize and manage the backlog, how to collaborate with stakeholders and the development team to deliver value to customers and provide an understanding of Lean Portfolio management and how to lead the change in an organization.
Minimum Entry Requirement
- Familiarity with basic Agile concepts and principles
- Understanding of Scrum framework, roles and events
- A general understanding of software development processes and methodologies
- Familiarity with project management concepts and practices
- A basic understanding of business management principles
- Familiarity with the concept of backlog and its management
- A basic understanding of the role and responsibilities of a Product Owner
- The ability to work in cross-functional teams
- A willingness to learn and adapt to new methodologies and practices.
