Participants will learn about common programming languages, database structure and data security. Concepts emphasized in the modules are complemented by hands-on inquiry using relevant tools in the practical sessions. The Modules covered in this PDC are:
- Fundamentals of Biomedical Informatics
- Programming For Biomedical Sciences
What You'll Learn
This certificate aims to equip participants with practical skills and knowledge in biomedical informatics, such as utilising available platforms for retrieving relevant information from biomedical or healthcare-related sources.
Minimum Entry Requirement
Applicants should possess at least a local diploma qualification or equivalent in Life Science, Health Sciences or Biomedical Engineering from recognised institution.
Applicants who do not meet the entry requirements may be considered for admission to the course based on evidence of at least 5 years of relevant working experience or supporting evidence of competency readiness. Suitable applicants who are shortlisted will have to go through an interview and/or entrance test. The Polytechnic reserves the right to shortlist and admit applicants.
