What You'll Learn

On completion of this unit, learners will have the knowledge and skills to carry out basic maintenance works in a process plant.

Minimum Entry Requirement

Learners are assumed to:

• have received safety training related to a process plant.
• have related training or work experience in a process plant.
• be able to interpret basic technical drawings and blueprints.
• have basic competencies in handling common hand tools.
• be able to follow written and oral work instructions of lead fitter or supervisor.
• be able to listen, read, speak, and write English at a proficiency level equivalent to the Employ-ability Skills System (ESS) level 2.
