The objective of WSQ People Management (SSC-PDV-4045-1.1) is to enable learners to manage team performance and development through effective communication, conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
What You'll Learn
LO1 Apply the principles of manpower planning to forecast, recruit, develop and control the manpower required to enable organisation to achieve its strategic goals.
LO2 Develop a Staff Development Plan for the employees or teams to align their professional development with the organisation's strategic goals.
LO3 Apply effective motivation techniques, mediation principles, conflict management methods, counselling skills and negotiation techniques to manage the performance of their people so that the strategic goals of the organisation can be achieved.
Minimum Entry Requirement
The required skills and knowledge for this course are as follows:
- Minimum GCE A' Level / Diploma and/or able to read, write, listen and speak of English to a proficiency level equivalent to Employability Skills System Workplace Literacy (WPL) Level 5; and count to a proficiency level equivalent to Employability Skills System Workplace Numeracy (WPN) Level 5
- Able to operate a personal desktop computer / laptop with Level 2 basic computing and applications skills
- Be motivated to learn and have positive attitude towards work and commitments.
- Have interest in community and social work.
