This module will encompass the requisite knowledge that the students must possess for using the concepts of Operational Research in solving the problems of Maritime Logistics. After starting with introducing the students to the fundamentals of Operations Research, the module will train them on Linear programming and modelling, including the methods to solve these equations.
The module will impart knowledge about Optimization in Maritime Applications by use of MS Excel. The module will further train the students on using the basic techniques of Operations Research for solving the Transportation & Assignment Problems for Maritime Application. In the end, the students will also be trained on solving the Network Flow Problem for Maritime Application.
On the completion of the module, the students would be able to conceptualize and solve the optimization problems in various aspects of Maritime Logistics.
What You'll Learn
