Module 8: Capstone Project (synchronous E-Learning)

This is the final module of the Amazon Web Services (AWS) SkillsFuture Career Transition Programme (SCTP) course, where learners will apply the knowledge and skills they have gained throughout the course to develop a capstone project on AWS.

In this module, learners will work in teams to design, implement, test, and optimize a cloud-based application, using a range of AWS services and tools. The module will provide learners with an opportunity to showcase their skills and demonstrate their ability to work in a team, communicate effectively, and apply best practices for software development on AWS.

What You'll Learn

• Understand the capstone project requirements, timeline, and expectations
• Form teams and begin planning the capstone project
• Design the architecture of the capstone project
• Select appropriate Amazon Web Services (AWS) services, design a data model, and plan the application flow
• Apply best practices for project design and architecture
• Implement the capstone project
• Write code, configure AWS services, and deploy the application to the cloud
• Apply best practices for project implementation and deployment
• Test and optimize the capstone project
• Design and run tests, analyze performance metrics, and optimize the application for performance and scalability
• Apply best practices for project testing and optimization
• Present the completed capstone project
• Demonstrate understanding of the concepts and tools covered in the course
• Reflect on learning and receive feedback from instructors and peers

Minimum Entry Requirement

Participants should have a minimum of 2 years working experience.
