This module covers principles and practical knowledge required to plan and control inventories of goods and materials. Topics include the role and importance of carrying inventories, inventory classifications, planning and control, and a study of the costs of inventory.
What You'll Learn
This module is part of "Certificate in Logistics Management", which imparts participants with basic knowledge in logistics management. Participants will gain in-depth understanding of critical logistics functionalities such as warehousing, inventory management and distribution. Global logistics issues will also be covered.
Minimum Entry Requirement
3 GCE 'O' level with English language (grade 1-7), Science (grade 1-6) and 1 relevant subject (grade 1-6) – 1 years of relevant working experience
Higher NITEC (GPA 2.0 and above) or (GPA 1.5 and above and 1 years of relevant working experience)
NITEC (GPA 3.5 and above) or (GPA 3.0 and above and 1 year of relevant working experience)
Higher NITEC in Technology/Services (GPA 2.0 and above and 1 year of relevant working experience)
NITEC in Technology/Services (GPA 3.5 and above and 1 year of relevant working experience)
Relevant WSQ Advanced Certificate (or higher) AND at least 1 year relevant work experience AND Level 6 WSQ Workplace Literacy SOA and Workplace Numeracy SOA
For applicants who do not meet the MER, the polytechnics will consider discretionary entry based on the structured process for discretionary entry to CET diploma programmes.
