The Industrial Internet of Things (or Industrial Internet) differs from the Internet of Things which is focused on getting consumer electronics and other items connected to internet. IIOT focus on bringing greater visibility and control over the different parts of the industrial operations, from assets tracking, operations feedback, maintenance monitoring etc. The end result is deep insight into the operational models of the manufacturing process, and allowing for the unlocking of the business value through greater efficiency.
