This course is designed to endow learners with a deep understanding of the prevalent techniques of carbon accounting. Delving into the fundamentals, we will guide you through the process of delineating your organisational boundary and teach you how to categorise emissions using a standardised framework. Our approach will furnish you with the tools and methodologies to proficiently measure and manage greenhouse gas emissions within any organisation.
What You'll Learn
The objective of this course is to equip learners with knowledge in the widely adopted methodologies of carbon accounting and skills to measure and manage greenhouse gas emissions from an organisation.
On completion of the course, the learners should be able to:
- Outline the fundamentals of carbon accounting.
- Establish organisational and operational boundaries for developing a relevant and accurate GHG inventory for an organisation.
- Identify relevant and material scope 1, 2, and 3 emission sources and account for them using the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Protocol
- Develop science-based target and decarbonisation strategy.

- Sustainability managers and managers who aspire to act as Change Agents and point of contact for sustainability-related matters, both internally and externally, identifying issues and suggesting solutions from a holistic perspective and acknowledging that the social, legal, and economic aspects of issues are as important as those relating to science and technology.
- Managers and aspiring managers who undertake sustainability reporting and participate in environmental social governance (ESG) rating exercises and assist in coordinating sustainability effort and projects across business units (BUs).
