This 3-day course aims to provide participants with the knowledge and skills needed to reduce carbon emissions and promote sustainability in building design and construction in Singapore. By the end of this course, participants will be able to identify the sources of carbon emissions in buildings and assess their impact on the the environment; understand the impact of corporate and organizational carbon emissions on the environment, economy, and society; develop and implement a carbon management plan that includes monitoring, reporting, and verification of carbon emissions.
What You'll Learn
The course starts with an overview of the principles of green building and the importance of corporate and organizational carbon emissions in the context of climate change and the impact of these emissions on the environment, economy, and society. Participants will learn how to conduct a greenhouse gas inventory for an organization and identify emissions sources across operations. The course covers topics such as best practices for setting emissions reduction targets and tracking progress towards these goals; policies and regulations related to corporate and organizational carbon emissions.
