Fundamental Field Epidemiology

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:

• Apply field epidemiologic methods to undertake rapid response on the ground
• Assist in surveillance and outbreak investigation using a systematic approach; and
• Acquire skills to effect preventive and preparedness actions.

What You'll Learn

This course will introduce the knowledge and tools related to knowledge and tools related to epidemiology and public health practice, in undersanding the contruct of public health emergencies, quantifying public health threats and applying in the community dimensions. Besides technical skills, it will also provide insights and hone the inter-personal skills to resolve challenges during outbreak management.

Minimum Entry Requirement

• Already completed & received competence certification on Foundational Tier 1 Course: Applied Epidemiology and Rapid Response or Basic Outbreak Rapid Response course
• Diploma or Bachelor's degree
• Relevant public health related work experience
• Candidates with other qualifications and experience may be considered on a case by case basis, subject to approval
