The course aims to equip our students with the knowledge, skills and competencies to work competently in the area of cyber security, particularly in the area of penetration testing/vulnerabilities assessment and incident response and management.
What You'll Learn
The number of job postings for cyber security professionals has grown from 629 in 2018 Q1 to 4162 in 2021 Q1. This 6.6 times growth in over three (3) years is expected to increase in time, with the government announcing the Safer Cyberspace Masterplan in October 2020 that aims to raise Singapore's general level of cybersecurity. Under the master plan, a slew of initiatives such as a Cybersecurity Trustmark for enterprises that practise good cybersecurity and newly established processes to boost Singapore's cybersecurity defence will be put in place to safeguard digital assets.
Minimum Entry Requirement
The minimum entry requirements are
(a) The following GCE 'O' Level grades and with at least 1 year of relevant working experience:
- English Language Grade 1 "“ 7
- Mathematics (Elementary or Additional) Grade 1 "“ 6
- Science Grade 1 "“ 6

(b) Nitec with GPA >= 3.5 in an engineering or information technology discipline
OR
(c) Nitec with GPA >= 3.0 in an engineering or information technology discipline and with at least 1 year of relevant working experience
OR
(d) Nitec in Technology with GPA >= 3.5 in an engineering or information technology discipline and with at least 1 year of relevant working experience

(e) Higher Nitec in an engineering or information technology discipline with GPA >=2.0
