Diploma in Engineering (marine) (demot)

The main objective of the part-time Diploma in Engineering (Marine) (DEMOT) is to equip the working adults with strong fundamental knowledge and skills in Marine & Offshore Technology, which is highly sought after by the marine industry. The course builds on the strong foundations in the basic and core subjects, enabling graduates to be effective and productive members in the marine industry and to continue to build upon their knowledge and remain current of technological development.

Minimum Entry Requirement

The following GCE 'O' Level grades and with at least 1 year of relevant work experience:

"“ English Language (Grade 1-6)

"“ Mathematics (Grade 1-6)

"“ One other subject(Grade 1-6)

ORÂ NITEC with GPA >= 3.5

ORÂ NITEC with GPA >= 3.0 and with at least 1 year of relevant work experience

ORÂ Higher NITEC with GPA >= 2.0

ORÂ Higher NITEC with GPA >= 1.5 and with at least 1 year of relevant work experience

ORÂ NITEC in Technology or Services with GPA >= 3.5 and with at least 1 year of relevant working experience

ORÂ Higher NITEC in Technology or Services with GPA >=2.0 and with at least 1 year of relevant working experience

OR relevant WSQ Advanced Certificate (or higher) and Level 6 WSQ Workplace Literacy SOA and Workplace Numeracy SOA and with at least 1 year of relevant working experience

ORÂ applicants with at least 2 years of relevant working experience may apply for the course
