Data Analytics and Data Visualisation in Supply Chain Management

This module provides an in-depth understanding of how data analytics and data visualisation techniques can be leveraged to enhance supply chain management processes. In today's competitive business landscape, effective supply chain management is crucial for delivering products and services efficiently and cost-effectively. Data analytics and visualisation are powerful tools that enable organisations to make data-driven decisions, improve supply chain visibility, and respond to dynamic market demands. This module will equip students with the knowledge and skills to analyse supply chain data, extract meaningful insights, and present these insights visually for informed decision-making.

By the end of the module, participants will be able to:

• Explain the importance of data analytics and visualisation in managing supply chain performance.
• Apply data visualisation tools to create supply chain dashboards and reports.
• Analyse the data to identify patterns and trends to convey supply chain insights.
• Examine the importance of data privacy and potential ethical issues that may arise in supply chain data management.

Minimum Entry Requirement

Applicants should possess a local Diploma, ITE Technical Diploma / Technical Engineer Diploma / Work-Study Technical Diploma, or Degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Business, or Science from recognised institutions.

Applicants who do not meet the entry requirements may be considered for admission to the course based on evidence of at least five years of relevant working experience or supporting evidence of competency readiness. Suitable applicants who are shortlisted will have to go through an interview and/or entrance test. The Polytechnic reserves the right to shortlist and admit applicants.
