The objective of the course is to train aquaculture farm personnel and others interested in aquaculture farm biosecurity and monitoring as Qualified Persons so as to be responsible for managing farm biosecurity.
What You'll Learn
The certificate course in Qualified Persons in Aquaculture Farm Biosecurity and Farm Monitoring covers topics that would help aquaculture farms prepare their personnel as Qualified Persons (QP) in farm biosecurity management and farm environment monitoring. The 4-day course will include lectures on key good aquaculture practices from SS 670:2021; group discussion on-farm biosecurity and environmental monitoring plans; hands-on training in essential fish healthcare; farm visits and assessment. Upon completion of the course, the QP would be equipped with knowledge and skill sets in the areas of disease prevention and control, fish healthcare, farming practices and farm environment monitoring.
