- Know how to establish, implement, maintain and improve a Privacy Information Management System (PIMS) that is jurisdiction neutral
- Differentiate between information security and data privacy/ protection
- Apply a combination of industry standards-based data privacy/ protection and information security controls
- Understand the application of PIMS as part of the data protection management programme and as an audit framework
What You'll Learn
ISO 27701 Privacy Information Management System (PIMS), a privacy extension to ISO 27001 Information Security Management System (ISMS), can support your organisation in meeting the regulatory requirements and manage privacy risks related to Personally Identifiable Information (PII).
This module provides participants with an understanding of how to establish and implement a jurisdiction neutral Privacy Information Management System using the ISO 27701. Participants will also learn how to use this framework as part of their audit framework.
Minimum Entry Requirement
Participants should preferably have tertiary qualifications and/or at least 3 years of working experience.
