Bawku Technical Institute

Bawku Technical Institute is a public technical and vocational education and training (TVET) institution located in Kpalwega along the Bawku-Zebilla Road in the Upper East Region of Ghana. The college provides technical and vocational skills training designed to equip students with practical competencies for employment and entrepreneurship in various technical fields. As part of Ghana’s TVET system, the institute offers programs in trades such as building construction, electrical installation, welding and fabrication, and other technical disciplines that support workforce development in the region. Serving communities in and around Bawku, the institution plays a vital role in addressing the technical education needs of the Upper East Region and contributing to national efforts to develop a skilled labor force. The college operates under the supervision of the Council for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (COTVET) and adheres to national standards for technical education delivery.
