KIPS Technical College has carved out a solid place for itself in Nairobi’s busy TVET scene, where young Kenyans are hunting for training that actually leads somewhere. Since it opened its doors in 1994, the college has stayed true to its promise of turning out graduates who hit the ground running.
TVETA-accredited and one of the bigger KNEC, KASNEB, ICM and NITA examination centres in the country, KIPS Technical College has seen more than 30,000 of its students walk into jobs, while keeping a national exam pass rate that hovers above 95 percent. That track record matters when you’re weighing up your options in a city where practical skills can make all the difference.
The main campus lies along Donholm Road, right next to Epren Academy on Savannah Road, in a bustling eastern Nairobi neighbourhood that mixes homes, small shops and daily hustle. You can reach it easily on the matatus running from town or through the eastern suburbs, and the surrounding area has that lived-in feel where students quickly settle in.
Inside, you will find well-equipped workshops and labs, a modern training kitchen and restaurant for the hospitality lot, spacious classrooms and a library that supports serious study.
